Children’s Ministry //_____________________________

 

Children's Church

Today during the 11:00 am worship service, children in K-4^th will be dismissed to go downstairs to attend Children's Church. This group meets in Room 9.

 

Adult Ministry //_______________________________

 

New Small Group – “Genesis”

All are invited to this new small group focusing on the book of Genesis, starting this Friday, February, 10^th at 10am.  This group meets every Friday at 10am here at CWC.

Communion

Once a month we take Communion together as a church family.  Due to the awareness of allergies, we are offering gluten-free wafers for communion.  They will be on a small dish on top of the usual wafer tray.

 

Ladies Active Fellowship

All ladies are invited to a night of fellowship and fun at Ladies Active Fellowship. This month you are invited to bring your favorite purse or a purse that tells a story. Come on out Tuesday, February 7^th at 6:30pm.

 

PaceSetter’s Luncheon

The PaceSetter’s Ministry is hosting a luncheon next Tuesday, February 14^th at 11:30am at Guissepe’s in Kmart plaza.  The theme will be Christ’s love with Vince and Louise Giudice being the hosts.  Please sign up at the PaceSetter’s bulletin board in the foyer.

 

New Small Group – “Godonomics”

This Bible Study, "Godonomics," offers God's perspective for the economic decisions of an individual, a family, and even a nation.  We will meet here in the Ministry Center, Thursday nights, beginning this Thursday, February 2^nd, 6:30 - 8:00pm.  Please sign up in the foyer by the Church Office window. 

 

New Sunday School Class

            A new Sunday School class is being taught by Jake Landmesser for those in their 20's and 30's.  This class is fun, but spiritual with good application concepts and interactive involving all who attend.  This class meets downstairs in the alcove to the left. 

 

Young Adult Super Bowl Party

All young adults are invited to the Maclauchlan home at 2091 Grand Central Ave next Sunday at 6pm to watch the Super Bowl and enjoy some snacks.  Bring a snack & drink to share.  See Pastor Pete with any questions.

Building Fund Campaign

Thank you for giving to ‘Investing in Souls’.

            Even though we have reached our initial goal in paying off the mortgage, we are not finished investing in souls.  For the month of January $1,490 was given to the building fund.

 

Operation Christmas Child

            For the month of February bring in: bar soap (no liquids please), wash cloths, & hand towels – thank you!

 

The Helmsman

The Helmsmen, a men’s vocal group, will be sharing their ministry of music in a concert here at CWC during both of our Sunday morning services next Sunday, February 12^th. 

 

Ministry Opportunity - Outside the Walls!

            The Horseheads Food Pantry will be open one Saturday a month from 10:00 - Noon. There will be an informational meeting for all those interested in serving on Saturday, February 18^th at 10:45am at the Horseheads Food Pantry at Horseheads First Presbyterian Church at 2943 Westinghouse Road in Horseheads. 

 

Spaghetti Dinner

            You are invited to join us for a spaghetti dinner this Friday, February 10^th from 5:00 – 6:30pm, here at CWC.  The cost is donation and all funds will go toward our Workcamp Mission team in the Summer of 2012.

 

Sweetheart Banquet

            Our annual Sweetheart Valentine’s Dinner for couples is this Saturday February 11^th, from 5:30 - 8:00pm here at CWC in the Ministry Center.  Please sign up at the LAF table.  Please contact Cindy Russell with any questions of if you’re interested in helping @ 425-0815 or e-mail at CindyRusRock@gmail.com
