Most Recent Post:I AM NOT IN A HURRY! Posted by: Ann Cliff and I were driving down the road the other day. I asked him why he didn't go this way, instead of that way; this way was quicker. He said: "Woman, you'er retired; you are not in a hurry! He's right: I sometimes wonder why our food takes so long to "get here" when we're at a restaurant, or how long it takes the waitress or waiter to bring us the check. He reminds me that we're not "in a hurry." [So, the next time some jerk, (his word, not mine), cuts him off in traffic, I 'll just say: "Hey, man, you're retired; you are not in a hurry anyhow!"] My actual point is: Cliff is showing me how to slow down, "smell the coffee," as they say, and reflect on why I was in such a "hurry" so often. We so often say that there just aren't enought hours in the day to do everything...I want to do, or I need to do? One thing's certain: we all have the same 24 hrs. in a day; what we do with those 24 hrs. is up to each of us. [I truly believe there's enough time to do everything the Lord wants us to do!] Let us not ever be in too much of hurry to ask God's will for our lives; or to ask God how He would have us to live each day of our lives. "Teach me to do you will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." [Ps.143:10] |
